Mopar has introduced new, Wi-Fi-capable, Level 2 (240-volt) charging units for at-home charging for Jeep 4xe and Chrysler plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. The 4xe propulsion system combines two electric motors, a 400-volt battery pack, 2.0-liter liter, Pentastar V-6, gasoline engine.

Exceeding its initial program targets, the plug-in 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid ( earlier post ) has earned an electric-mode fuel economy rating of 84 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Toyota calculates that as of 31 October, TMC-produced hybrid vehicles sold since 1997 have reduced CO 2 emissions by approximately 30 million tons worldwide and approximately 9 million tons in Japan compared to the amount of emissions from gasoline-powered vehicles of similar size and driving performance.
