In conjunction with the Memorandum, the General Services Administration (GSA) launched a pilot project to incorporate electric vehicles and technologies into the Federal fleet. GSA announced its initial purchase of more than 100 electric vehicles for a vehicle pilot. Optimum fleet size.

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The project will deploy 502 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles through 119 public and private fleets throughout the state.

Beginning in September, six Navistar eStar all-electric, zero-emission trucks ( earlier post ) will be part of Coca-Cola’s growing fleet of alternative fuel vehicles (AFV) in North America; the AFV fleet will surpass 750 units by the end of this year. with two trucks in Los Angeles. Atlanta and Miami.

In this pilot project, enough compressed natural gas will be generated to displace 750 to 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel, and to power heavy-duty garbage collection trucks and an on-site generator producing renewable electricity for the facility. This fuel has 88% lower carbon intensity than ultra-low-sulfur diesel.

The California Energy Commission unanimously adopted the 2013-2014 Investment Plan Update to support the development and use of green vehicles and alternative fuels. 15 million for medium- and heavy-duty electric truck and hybrid vehicle demonstration projects. $12 million ZEVs on the state’s roads.
