Proman Stena Bulk, the joint venture between tanker company Stena Bulk and methanol producer Proman, successfully completed the first barge-to-ship methanol bunkering on the US Gulf Coast. Bunkering Methanol is widely available in the Port of Houston, which is the United States’ busiest port in terms of foreign tonnage.

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The project will deploy 502 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles through 119 public and private fleets throughout the state.

The company also will test three different alternative fuels—Reclaimed Grease Fuel; B20 biodiesel; and liquefied natural gas—in its heavy-duty trucks. Reclaimed Grease Fuel and Biodiesel. distribution center will operate on an 80/20 blend of biodiesel made of waste yellow cooking oil.
