The members of EAA San Joaquin Valley (EAASJV), largely held back from holding in-person events since the chapter’s founding in 2019 due to the pandemic, were determined to make their 2022 Drive Electric Earth Day event a rousing success. They now realize that EVs are less expensive to maintain than gas-engined vehicles.

Local Electric Driving, No Range Anxiety. Volvo has been talking about going electric a lot lately. The company plans to do it with a mixture of all-electric vehicles, like the new XC40 Recharge, and plug-in hybrid versions of its SUVs and sedans. The XC90 Recharge is an example of the second group. It also adds 111 lb.

Clean Fleet Report was driving the highly optioned Limited, which had the standard solar panel roof that charges the 12-volt and hybrid batteries, producing two miles of electric driving range for every six hours the car is left in the sun.
