General Motors already delivered the Chevrolet Bolt, with the model becoming one of the first affordable EVs offering real utility to customers. But it wasn’t making oodles of cash per vehicle like the company’s larger pickups and SUVs had been. Simply chasing volume probably won’t be enough.
