At CES 2019, ZF will unveil a steering-wheel- and pedal-free robo-taxi to show how its technologies enable new forms of urban mobility. Users can hail the taxi using their smartphone or tablet; the robo-taxi will maneuver autonomously to pick them up. It can then chauffeur them to where they wish to go.

The air route connected Hillwood’s Mobility Innovation Zone, in the northern outskirts of Fort Worth, to the Discovery Park on the campus of the University of North Texas, a distance of 60 kilometers (37 miles). All the GCS hardware is installed in a truck provided by Bell Textron.

Electrify America has released its National Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Investment Plan for Cycle 2; Cycle 2 is a 30-month investment period that begins in July 2019. Select DCFC stations also will be installed near multiunit dwellings (MUDs), expanding access to drivers who reside in apartment complexes and similar communities.
