OSU’s technology would be modular, portable, scalable, and deployable at a fraction of the cost of existing treatment systems. The proposed technology does not consume any power in standby mode, eliminating the cost of battery replacements. ARPA-E plans to announce a total of nine OPEN+ cohorts throughout late 2018 and early 2019.
