Autonomous driving software company nuTonomy closes $16M A round

In Singapore, where nuTonomy has strong governmental support, the round included participation from EDBI, the dedicated corporate investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board. nuTonomy is positioning itself to be the first company to deliver an autonomous taxi service, and plans to launch a commercial offering in 2018.

Singapore LTA selects nuTonomy for trials of autonomous mobility-on-demand transportation service; new AV testing center

In addition to Delphi ( earlier post ), Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has also selected nuTonomy to begin trials of an autonomous mobility-on-demand transportation service. Singapore-based nuTonomy is the first, and to date, only private enterprise approved by the Singapore government for the testing of AVs on public roads.
