The section held a first-of-its-kind workshop in January at the University of Technology in Kingston. Through the power of storytelling and the strength of IEEE’s mission, the One IEEE event connected participants to each other and to IEEE by showcasing the vibrant engineering community in Jamaica.

Today, one billion people experience some form of disability; by 2050, people aged 60 and older will account for 22% of the global population.

Based on the results of the study, CAR believes the economic risk to the auto industry connected to mandating permanent fuel economy standards in the long run is “ very serious ” The group recommends periodic review to assess the rate of technology development and cost reduction of advanced technologies leading up to 2025.
