In response to a court deadline, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized standards to reduce air pollution associated with oil and natural gas production. These gases can pollute the air and as a result threaten public health. In 2015, all new fractured wells will be required to use green completions.

Last year Oregon had also aggressively negotiated with the Chinese carmaker, BYD , to manufacture its line of plug-in hybrids in the state for sale in the U.S.) So imagine a million electric cars on US roads which all need to change these batteries in say 2015. In most conversions cost is about the same because of needless weight.
