GM’s truck and crossover sales pass 1M unit mark for 2014

Sales of General Motors crossovers and trucks, which include pickups, vans and SUVs, surged by double-digits in July, pushing combined sales for the year to 1,048,114 through July. Large non-luxury SUVs were up 25% in July, and they are up 15% year to date. Including the Cadillac Escalade, SUV sales are up 32%.

General Motors and its joint ventures’ retail deliveries rose 15% year-on-year to a record 327,037 vehicles in China in October, with Buick posting its best-ever monthly sales. Buick sales gained 42% in October, with monthly sales exceeding 100,000 units for the first time. Sales of the ATS-L reached a new high for the month.
