Used Priuses, especially the Generation 2 that were made from 2004 to 2009 are becoming a bargain to buy, especially for the MPG and features you get in return. On the way there, I made a pit stop at a gas station to buy a bottle of champagne as a gift, hoping to start out a conversation with a stranger on the right foot.

The Ban on EV Conversions is Over!!! Yesterday (June 7, 2010), Electric Mobility Canada sent out an e-mail advising its Ontario members that MTO has lifted the ban, and has implemented an interim solution for the licensing of electric vehicle conversions. The most recent recession this country has experienced officially started in December of 2007 and officially ended in June of 2009. According to the Electrification Coalitions Roadmap, if the Light Duty vehicle class was converted to Electric power we would see the amount of imported oil go to zero. About the Author.

I have purchased a 1995 Mazda b 2300 small truck with the intent of converting it into an EV. with a blown motor on 7/15/2009, the seller bought this truck at an auction, untested, just to discover that it has a serious problem, blown piston ,rings, or valves, who knows, it did run but smoke, whooiee!!! Purchase price was $ 650.00
