Seems like a perfect use for some stimulus money, don’t it? I love AB32 and the necessary slap in the face it brings my fellow California citizens who may not have been paying attention to the climate situation. 2007 USA electric energy fuel mix. Oh yeah - none of has any money. Not on the pace we’re currently on.

The vision is fuelled by the fear of climate change and the need to find green alternatives to dirty coal, unpopular nuclear power and unreliable gas imports from Russia. Unfortunately, there is very little specific funding for wireless transmission in the stimulus bill that was just signed by the USA President.

He’s been on the ground running the City of Palm Desert’s Energy Independence Program since it launched as the Set To Save program in January of 2007 and he’s got his city on track to save the 30% of electricity and natural gas he’s in charge of reducing by 2011. I wish he had twice the amount of time allotted.
