More often than not, the “recycling&# of NiMH or lithium-ion batteries involves shipping them off to places like China, where their fate is truly unknown. electric car race with i MiEV in Oregon? Now add much cheaper materials and NiMH is now obsolete.

You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. they didnt consider the fact that China was a nation with a appetite that would have well made the EV1 a profitable venture even if the cars tragically lasted longer, and cost less to build and maintain. Oh, and it looks wayyyyy cooler than the Volt.
