The Electrification Coalition released two case studies outlining how two cities— Houston, Texas and Loveland, Colorado —are saving money by using electric vehicles (EVs) in their vehicle fleets. Loveland is now aiming to convert all of its light-duty fleet vehicles that work within a close distance of the city to EVs.

Toyota’s stance is that hydrogen is a particularly promising alternative fuel since it can be produced using a wide variety of primary energy sources, including solar and wind power. The Think City was short-lived in the States with production halting in 2002 after just 1005 cars had been assembled. The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. Glad to see the variety & availability of electic commuter cars (vs hybrids & PHEV) is rising. safety requirements.
