The California Air Resources Board (CARB) announced that greenhouse gas emissions in California in 2016 fell below 1990 levels for the first time since emissions peaked in 2004—a reduction roughly equivalent to taking 12 million cars off the road or saving 6 billion gallons of gasoline a year.

In 2001 she terminated our grass lawns and replaced them with drought tolerant plants because of her concerns for water use. We both know that 20% of California’s electric power is used just to move water from the North down here to the South and all the other places it goes. That’s about a 25% reduction.
