Jeep-branded EV charging stations will be installed at or near the trailheads of Jeep Badge of Honor off-road trails over the next year, allowing owners to take full-advantage of their electrified Jeep SUV. Jeep 4xe Charging Stations will be either directly connected to the power grid or use solar power to generate electricity.

Fisker revealed its Fisker Ocean electric SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Fisker Ocean was designed to be a true SUV, Henrik Fisker said, rather than yet another aerodynamic all-electric hatchback. The company calls these technologies PowerCar, Power Grid, and PowerHouse.

Scientist have confirmed that unlike gasoline cars, plug-ins will get cleaner as they get older -- because our power grid is getting cleaner. PHEVs might one day actually help reduce it by providing power from parked PHEVs batteries during daytime hours (see Vehicle-to-Grid in our FAQ). Thats 20-25 cents a gallon.
