XL Fleet announced that the Company’s XLP plug-in hybrid electric drive technology is being expanded for use across a range of fleet vehicles from General Motors. The company believes its expanded portfolio will further extend its leadership position in fleet electrification. Upon closing, the combined company will be named XL Fleet Corp.

(EDI) announced the availability of a Class 3 utility truck based upon its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain that reduces emissions and fuel use by up to 80%. EDI built its PHEV drivetrain system in response to increasing pressure from the utility industry to green their fleets using electricity as a primary fuel.

According to Automotive News , Nissan will launch its first plug-in hybrid in the US using a Mitsubishi-engineered system. Fully electric and PHEV versions are being considered. The automaker said this includes launching e-POWER and plug-in hybrids. Now, it looks to make up for lost time.
