Model T was cheaper and had more range. Newly found reservoirs of petroleum and crude oil decreased the oil price. The range and speed of electric vehicles back then were against the new driving habits of mankind. Tesla and other modern electric cars (except a few) owe lithium-ion batteries to their success.

The best thing about the Nissan is the expected price range of $25K- $34K. The benefits overwhelm the perceived problem of range. – Toyota Motor Corp. – Tesla Motors Inc., Pricing isn’t set. Oil vs. electrons. The drivability was similar to my RAV, but quicker.

Driving range will no longer be an obstacle, because customers will be able to plug their cars into charging units in any of the 500,000 charging spots in Israel.
