Funded by the DOE’s Advanced Vehicle Testing Activity (AVTA), NREL’s Fleet Test & Evaluation (FT&E) team performed a 12-month evaluation of six MY 2007 P70D hybrid vans and six MY 2006 P70D standard diesel vans at a UPS location in Phoenix, collecting and analyzing fuel economy, maintenance and other vehicle performance data.

Cheers PHEV3A'rs, EVADC'rs, and EVnthusiasts, One & All - The "Spirit" all charged up at the Ashers in Phoenix proceeded over to the Suiters in Glendale, essentially going 9 electric miles there. Phoenix EAA may get new members when on Tuesday (fingers crossed) Amanda's EVforts pay off on ASU's Channel 8. It was a neat time!

Second Run was to University of Arizona in Tucson. Third Run was to Tempe, just nearby Phoenix. MPG going in/around Bisbee, over to Sierra Vista, up to Tucson and on to Tempe for some 493.7 EVJerr even signed up for the 2009 Prius PHEV, too! A Historic first at Sierra Toyota.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. A car that gets 60 mpg still burns 17 gallons of gas every 1,000 miles versus a car that gets 21 mpg using E85 (my Chevy Impala) that burns 7.1 The Chevy Volt is going to count on an overnight charge from a standard wall outlet.
