As per the data released by apex industry body SIAM on January 12, 2024, total sales of UVs (SUVs and MPVs) last year were 23,53,605 units, clocking handsome 22% growth (CY2022: 19,22,805 UVs). While the 11 compact SUVs lead in terms of overall numbers (10,98,867 units), the 11 midsize SUVs (768,491 units) reflects their growing demand.
