The EPA fuel economy numbers of 21 mpg city/26 highway/23 combined are almost exactly what we got covering 301 miles driving through Southern California. We were hoping to get 30 mpg on the highway, but no matter how hard we tried the best we could do was 28.1

Lexus has spiced-up the 2021 NX 300h by giving it the F Sport treatment. This excellent fuel economy is a prime reason to consider buying a NX 300h.

Where we did much better was on a 110-mile freeway run, in either Eco or Smart mode and with the smart cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 31.5 It wasn’t easy, but cracking 30 mpg on the open road was a nice surprise in this size of car.

In two all-freeway runs of 150 miles each, with the dynamic radar cruise control set at 65 mph, we averaged 31.6 Only buy the 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport if you promise to occasionally take it on curvy roads. The thought of using this fine performing and handling luxury sports coupe only as a grocery-getter makes one’s spine tingle.
