A side benefit could be plugging in appliances to the car while camping rough. And plenty of technology remains left to be worked out: including the complex supporting infrastructure, business models, and various forms of electric plugs and chargers, alongside their sometimes confounding range of pin configurations.

If you plug in an old school light bulb and find that a current of 1/4 amp is flowing through it, you know that the power used by the bulb is (240) x (1/4), or 60 watts. In March 2020 we installed 9 solar panels an inverter and 2 battery packs. Sources: Solar installation: Contract Solar. More simply, volts x amps = watts.

Jo has done an excellent job of "pimping" the ride, the original kit from Blue Sky Designs in Oregon. In our haste, we unfortunately installed the steering backwards. Jerry is the owner of a PHEV Prius with Plug in Supply conversion kit, plus solar panels on the roof installed by Bob Bruninga, Naval Academy engineering professor.

At our Coimbatore hotel, we did try convincing the hotel management to allow us a slow charge, but the plug point was away from the parking - and the electrician did not have a 2.5 The womenfolk created some sewing kits and embroidery frames. We prayed to Mr Hanuman and plugged the car in. sq mm wire. Alas, no show!
