Technip Awarded Two Hydrogen Plant Contracts by Valero Group

Technip has been awarded two lump sum contracts by Valero Refining Company and Diamond Shamrock Refining Company (both part of the Valero group) for two hydrogen plants at their refineries in Memphis, Tennessee and McKee, Texas. Technip has supplied more than 240 hydrogen units worldwide. for the installation of both hydrogen plants.

DOE awarding $7+ million to four hydrogen and fuel cell projects, including fuel cell delivery trucks

Private industry and DOE’s national laboratories have already helped to reduce automotive fuel cell costs by more than 50% since 2006 and by more than 30% since 2008. FedEx Express ($3 million DOE investment): Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., Plug Power and Smith Electric Vehicles will join FedEx in this project.

Clean Energy to provide LNG to Hawaii Gas; additional agreements in trucking, transit and refuse markets

Clean Energy announced that it has extended its liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with the City of Phoenix. Clean Energy has supplied the City with LNG for more than a decade. Orchard Supply Hardware has also expanded the number of CNG trucks it’s fueling with Clean Energy.

Vanderbilt meeting concludes time to begin developing climate change adaptation strategies for transportation sector
