Thomas Built Buses (TBB), a leading manufacturer of school buses in North America and subsidiary of Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), announced the delivery of TBB’s 200 th Proterra Powered Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley battery-electric school bus to Monroe County Public Schools in Indiana.
Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), in cooperation with Duke Energy and non-profit industry initiative Energy Systems Network (ESN), will participate in a joint smart-grid pilot project in Indiana, the United States. The aim of the project will be power-grid load-equalization and the establishment of an optimized vehicle-charging scheme.
Initial testing will occur in Duke Energy’s Indiana service territory. Duke Energy will provide engineering design support for battery installations, as well as supply test sites and personnel.
