Israel-based GenCell Energy, a provider of hydrogen and ammonia to power fuel cell solutions, launched GenCell EVOX, a new off-grid EV charging solution that leverages alkaline fuel cells, hydrogen and ammonia to power technologies. The GenCell EVOX solution can service up to 10 75kW DC fast chargers.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Cella Energy have been awarded industrial research and development funding by Space Florida, the State of Florida’s aerospace and spaceport development authority, and MATIMOP, Israel’s Industrial Center for Research and Development. When heated above 100°C, hydrogen is released within minutes.

Aerospace engineers at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have developed and patented a process for on-demand hydrogen production from the reaction of activated aluminum powder and water for commercial aircraft applications. The work was reported in a recent paper published in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.

Israel-based NewCO2Fuels (NCF), a subsidiary of GreenEarth Energy Limited in Australia, reported completion of stage 1 testing of its proof-of-concept system for the conversion of CO 2 into fuels using solar energy. Simultaneously, the same device can dissociate water (H 2 O) to hydrogen (H 2 ) and oxygen (O 2 ).
