Toyota’s next-generation Prius will deliver significantly improved fuel economy in a more compact package that is lighter in weight and lower in cost, according to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Managing Officer Satoshi Ogiso. We have also heard from owners that they would like a more convenient charging operation.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. GM is developing more fuel-efficient vehicles. It offers 18 models that deliver 30 mpg or more. The car is expected to cost around $40,000. Thats right.
