Following last night’s unveiling of Tesla Motors’ new lineup of stationary energy storage systems ( earlier post ), more early partners and pilots are emerging. Cargill is collaborating with Tesla and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) to install a 1 MWh Tesla energy storage product at the company’s Fresno, California beef processing facility.

New Flyer of America, the US subsidiary of New Flyer Industries (NFI), the largest transit bus and motor coach manufacturer and parts distributor in North America, introduced the next generation of its battery-electric heavy duty transit bus: the Xcelsior CHARGE. In 2017, it committed to all electric buses by 2030.

The proposed amendments, known as LEV III, ask for more stringent tailpipe and greenhouse gas emission standards for new passenger vehicles sold between 2018 and 2025.
