Although charging infrastructure is beginning to find its way into cities, it may be awhile until they are available in residential neighborhoods en masse. Standardization of battery shape and chemistry is another consideration that gives one pause. One of the main drawbacks to charge stations is speed. Think of a battery in laptops.
