Today’s announcement signals our intent to reduce our dependence on petrol- and diesel-based engines, and determine the best practical alternatives. With support from Scottish and Southern Energy, a fleet of prototype Ford Focus BEVs will be used by both the energy company and evaluation drivers based in Hillingdon, Middlesex.

Transport for London (TfL) added four Mitsubishi i-MiEVs into its fleet as part of Mayor Boris Johnson’s plans to make London the electric vehicle capital of Europe. Report: City of London One of the Most Polluted Places in Europe. By the end of this year, TfL will have up to 10 electric vehicles in its fleet.
