Fisker is pricing its new Ocean electric SUV with an MSRP of US $37,499. After the US federal tax credit is applied, the cost of the Fisker Ocean drops to a starting price of US$29,999 (US). Fisker will also offer a “$0 drive off” option through a fully financed $2,999 down payment for credit-approved customers.

Encased in metal and painted black, the battery looked much smaller than a Roadster pack and is said to be able to power the fortwo up to 100 miles. Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. 15 days ago AutoblogGreen for 03.31.09

However, because of the duty cycle used by the Postal Service, which generally amounts to only about 18-20 miles per day on a fixed route, these vehicles are being built without the range extender seen on the concept.
