General Motors is working with communities such as San Francisco to develop a plan of action to establish the supporting technical and policy infrastructure required for broad commercialization of plug-in electric vehicles such as the upcoming Chevrolet Volt. VIA Motors has received its official Certificate of Conformity from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its Extended Range Electric Vehicle (eREV) Van, according to VIA Motors CEO Pablo Acedo. EPA certification means that VIA is now cleared to deliver its VIA eREV Vans to fleet customers across the United States.
