Raven SR, a US-based renewable fuels company ( earlier post ), plans to build a waste-to-hydrogen production facility in Aragón, Spain, following the opening of its subsidiary Raven SR Iberia in Zaragoza, announced earlier this month. Raven SR plans to bring the modular project online in 2023.

Spain-based energy and petrochemical company Repsol has produced renewable hydrogen using biomethane as raw material for the first time. This renewable hydrogen was used to manufacture fuels with a low carbon footprint, such as gasoline, diesel, or kerosene for aviation. GW in 2030.

The EU Innovation Fund will award a grant of €88 million to Neste’s green hydrogen and CO 2 capture & storage project, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the Porvoo refinery in Finland. An EU-funded project, Biogas2PEM-FC , has developed a system to convert the toxic waste from olive oil production into electricity.
