In 225 miles driving through Southern California we averaged 45.4 mpg with the best fuel economy on an all-city 45-mile run where the average was a stellar 46.7 Road Test: 2017 Honda Ridgeline. Because of Hondas different architecture (the engine runs whenever the motor runs), aftermarket conversion of Hondas are unlikely. Pricing from $8-15,000 for installed low-speed EV range of 8-24 miles. The easiest conversions are for 2004-2008 Prius (not 2001-2003 Prius) and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrid.
