The market share of diesel vehicles fell to 39.5% This growth can be attributed to key markets such as Germany, Spain and France, as well as five other markets (Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Estonia and Luxembourg), which posted double digit growth. The results mark the highest February volume since 2008, when 1.19 respectively.

Meanwhile, diesel registrations fell once again in February, although their market share did stabilize at 34%. Volkswagen led the model rankings with the Golf, which saw a decline in its gasoline registrations (-18%), but an increase in its diesel registrations (+8%).

The reveals of the Canoo pickup and Kia EV6 have heads turning and yet another automaker, BMW-owned Mini this time announced plans that it would only produce battery-electric vehicles from 2030. In a press release, Kia called the exterior design “crossover inspired,” but the EV6’s sleek lines are still quite car-like.
