Having started with successful trials on Daimler Trucks North America’s proving ground in Madras, Oregon, DTNA has received the appropriate permission from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). I have personally driven one of our trucks in a connected mode. My experience has been impressive.

That would be the Dodge Circuit, a car that Chrysler unveiled at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show in January and which is now prominently displayed at the New York Auto Show. While Chrysler has still not officially announced any of these details, the carmakers viability plan listed an "EV Roadster" as a future product for 2010.

In February, China’s Chery Automobile unveiled an electric concept car at the Detroit Auto Show. Renault-Nissan has started working with governments and utilities in California and Oregon to gear up for regional electric vehicle rollouts next year. Some of these companies are also working on electric models for the U.S.
