The current model, REVAi, marketed in the UK as G-Wiz i, has a range of up to 80 km and a top speed of 80 km/h. The new 18,212 m 2 production facility is being built to the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building rating system standard. Slow, clunky, even potentially “life-threatening” – these are just a handful of the insults that have been thrown the way of electric car maker REVA and particularly its G-Wiz model. The bias against lightweight, low speed electric quadricycles such as the UK’s best selling electric vehicle, the REVA G-Wiz, is highly questionable. Quadricycles are designed for city use and congested roads and are smaller, lighter and lower powered than ordinary cars and speed is not the issue.
