Based on documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the front power seat motor on the affected vehicles could overheat due to a stuck slide knob. Documentation shows that the manufacturer caught wind of the problem in December 2022 after a customer noticed smoke coming from beneath the front seat.

The recall documents further stated that the front and rear windows of these Porsche 911 models could have insufficient adhesion. The recall document has revealed that the problem lies with the adhesive used to bond front windshields and rear windows to the cars.

Unless/until PV cells become more efficient, and are part of the original installation, they will seriously affect the cars aerodynamics and will be far less durable than metal. How about a car-mounted wind-generator? We wont know how dealers will respond to service requests until we start driving converted cars.
