Ford rolled out a full team of managers and executives who’d created its first electric pickup, but the truck itself was the focus for dozens of reporters, analysts and reviewers. The 2022 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is powered by a 2.5-liter The Environmental Protection Agency, EPA , rates fuel economy at 40 highway when running in gasoline mode only. That number jumps to 105 MPGe, or miles per gallon equivalent, when combining electricity and gasoline. No gasoline used.

The all-new 2023 Prius Prime gets two less miles per gallon in hybrid mode than the 2022 model, but the all-electric driving range has increased substantially. Smart owners will quickly learn that, by plugging-in daily, they will reap the benefits of electric driving. The Prius Prime is not compatible with DC fast-charging.
