The Pacifica Hybrid does not have a Level 3/DC fast charging capability. The regenerative braking system, which recharges the 16-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, converts kinetic energy into electricity when braking or coasting. The battery recharge and electric mile range are metered instantly by dash gauges.

The Pacifica runs on a gas engine–and two electric motors. The Pacifica Hybrid has a regenerative braking system, which recharges the 16-kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion (li-ion) battery.
