The City of Venice, Florida, recently purchased three Tesla Model 3 units and will test the fleet of all-electric sedans to see if they are effective tools in reducing the cost of operating multiple vehicles for government purposes. The other two units appear to be Tesla’s Rear-Wheel-Drive Model 3.

Azure Dynamics Corporation has sold five Balance Hybrid Electric buses to Votran, the transit entity for Volusia County, Florida. FTA stimulus funds covered 100% of the cost of the vehicles. McDonald Transit manages numerous vehicle fleets across the nation; the Azure Dynamics buses will be its first hybrids in service.

Laredo Bus Facility Solar Canopies: Provide shade structures with integrated, grid tied photovoltaic cells to be erected on the bus storage lot at the Laredo Bus Maintenance Facility. This grant would allow ConnDOT to upgrade the upcoming purchases of buses and would fund the incremental cost of a hybrid bus compared to a conventional bus.
