The provision that’s gotten the most press is a redesign of the federal EV tax credit—that’s only natural, because it’s the policy that’s most likely to directly affect the average consumer, and because politicians love to talk about tax breaks. Credit where credit is due.

That, of course, didn’t stop the curiosity, but since I don’t sell cars and only review them, I told the inquisitors where the closest Polestar dealer is located and off I would go. Federal and state tax credits could reduce the price you pay. Even less if your state also offers a tax credit. Good enough?
