The London Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has begun a trial to test Suzuki Burgman hydrogen-powered scooters. The MPS is the only organization outside of Japan that Suzuki has approached to undertake such a trial. The trial is being run at no cost to the Met, with the loan of the vehicles from Suzuki Motor Corporation.

Suzuki Motor Corporation nd Intelligent Energy jointly unveiled the Suzuki Burgman Fuel Cell Scooter ( earlier post ) in London’s Living Room, City Hall, London. The first public road tests of the Suzuki Burgman will be conducted initially at Loughborough.

As examples, earlier generation, lower-powered stacks were implemented in the London Taxi fuel cell hybrid (30 kW stack) and a Peugeot Partner electric van (10 kW stack). Intelligent Energy has a long association with the automotive industry, including an eight-year relationship with the Suzuki Motor Corporation.
