The London Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has begun a trial to test Suzuki Burgman hydrogen-powered scooters. The MPS is the only organization outside of Japan that Suzuki has approached to undertake such a trial. The trial is being run at no cost to the Met, with the loan of the vehicles from Suzuki Motor Corporation.

Suzuki Motor Corporation nd Intelligent Energy jointly unveiled the Suzuki Burgman Fuel Cell Scooter ( earlier post ) in London’s Living Room, City Hall, London. The first public road tests of the Suzuki Burgman will be conducted initially at Loughborough.

With the 2012 London Olympic Games edging closer, a new project has introduced 15 hydrogen powered London black cabs and five hydrogen powered Suzuki Bergmann scooters into the city.

According to a Suzuki Alto Press release green cars don’t have to be boring - talk about preaching to the converted. Anyway, the manufacturer was keen to boast about its success at this year’s Revolve Eco-Rally which took place from Brighton to London yesterday.
