Azure Dynamics Corporation has selected Lotus Lightweight Structures, a division of Group Lotus plc, to provide assembly support for the Transit Connect Electric for the European market. It is rechargeable using standard European 220/240-volt outlets within 6 to 8 hours.

Azure Dynamics Corporation announced that AT&T has agreed to purchase two of the first Ford Transit Connect Electric vans. The Ford Transit Connect Electric is powered by Azure Dynamics’ Force Drive electric drivetrain with a lithium-ion battery pack from Johnson Controls-Saft.
