The Peterbilt Model 579EV will deliver the RNG to the Dane County landfill facility, where it will be injected into the natural gas pipeline to be used as clean transportation fuel on the west coast. US Gain, a division of Wisconsin-based US Venture, Inc., offtakes the RNG for distribution to the transportation market in California.

We intend to convert more of our fleet and to supply and distribute LNG to our customers. For example, fleets that have more than 10 vehicles that use at least 20,000 gallons per year in a ‘return-to-base operation’ can expect to lock in an after-tax internal rate of return in the 20 to 35 percent range.

AMP Americas signed a deal with Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers, both national dairy cooperatives, to convert a portion of their diesel needs to CNG by working with haulers to convert their fleets to CNG-powered trucks. million miles per year, servicing routes throughout Texas.

LCSWMA’s CNG project includes 14 new Peterbilt transfer trucks with Cummins-Westport ISX 12L CNG engines, costing around $2.2 LCSWMA purchased the fleet in 2013 and transitioned them into operation last month. Converting its fleet also required LCSMWA to install CNG fueling infrastructure at its Transfer Station Complex.

Supported by a $3-million California Energy Commission grant, the companies are working to convert a fleet of six, Class-6 International armored trucks into “Zero Emission with Range Extension” vehicles—PHEV trucks that operate with electricity and renewable natural gas (RNG). The CNG storage tanks are roof-mounted.
