Swytch, makers of the self-proclaimed “most affordable” electric bike conversion kits out there, announced its newest model this morning. The UK-based company’s new Swytch GO kit comes with a super low pre-order price of just £299 (or US $349 for North American customers), though there’s a bit of a catch.

At ePower’s current specifications, each conversion kit system requires 56 PbC batteries and the PbC battery management system (BMS). This version had mounting tabs that fit well with the bolt holes from the original kit. One additional advantage is that the input is really a rectified 115V AC input that I can plug into the wall in case I need to recharge the 12V battery with an external source instead of the main pack.
