The BMW i3 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (about 0-100 km/h) in about seven seconds; 50 – 75 mph (80 to 120 km/h) takes 4.9 Power is sent to the rear wheels through a single-speed transmission, allowing the BMW i3 to accelerate with an uninterrupted flow of power up to its top speed, which is limited to 93 mph (150 km/h).
