I participated in the Governor''s Office Conference Coast-to-Coast Workshop on E-Mobility in Sacramento sponsored by the governments of California and the Netherlands on Wednesday. For the past decade I''ve been driving the 91 miles to Sacramento without stopping to charge in a 2002 RAV4 EV. The meeting was informative.

We’ve now got some Mo going with: California solar loan financing that will eliminate the big up front cost of solar. With the coming solar feed-in tariff legislation moving through Sacramento that will pay us for the extra solar energy we produce and feed back into the grid. It’s a slam dunk.

While it’s sad but true that the entire gang in Sacramento can no longer figure out how to make California work, President Obama and his “Yes I Can&# team do know what they’re doing. Since it provides easy financing for solar PV and energy efficiency, AB 811 fits into all this like a hand-in-glove. Imagine that.
