Since internal combustion engines will remain the primary mode of choice for mobility in the foreseeable future, both alternative (renewable) fuels and high-performance combustion concepts/ engines using fuels adapted for that purpose will be preferred for reducing the combustion impact on climate change.

liter X4V2 prototype was originally designed for an aviation application. Revetec has prototyped 6 different versions of Revetec engine designs over the last 10 years. The latest version, the X4V2, was designed as a development engine for the aviation industry, and in early 2008 it was independently tested by Orbital Australia.

Gert Reinhardt was trained as a Mathematician at Dortmund University. Gert also designed a storage jukebox that was used by many of the largest companies in Europe. The engine is classified as a turbine, says Jim Andrews, vv-tec’s President, because the use of the sinus discs make the engine into an impulse turbine.
